These Whiskey Pots and Flasks were part of my final project this semester for Alibon Stafford's Jr. Pots class. They are all thrown and altered, press molded, pulled, slab built, and fired in a soda kiln to cone 10.
The Two Jr. Pots Classes this year at Alfred put together a really great show. These were 3 of the pieces I had in the show. All three are wood fired to cone 10 and are both thrown and altered with some slabs, press molded sprigs and a technique of soaking different cloths and yarns in slip and burning them out during the bisque. This work is a good representation of the work I did this semester and the Bone Cup and Whiskey Pot were both in the Buck's Rock Camp Arts Exhibition at The Art Directors Club in New York City.
